One mark, six media
Scroll and the same mark passes through a poster, a phone screen, packaging, a shop sign, a web page, and a four centimetre rubber stamp. An identity that only works in one medium is not an identity, it is a picture.
Eight years
What we do
Three packages, and one thing present in all of them.
Core identity
Mark, type, colour, and a forty page guide. Tested in six media before handover, rubber stamp and phone screen included. Eight to ten weeks.
Identity and application
Core identity plus packaging, signage, or post templates, depending on where your brand actually lives. Twelve to sixteen weeks.
Identity review
For brands that have an identity but have started to drift. We audit a year of usage and rewrite the guide. Four weeks.
Always included
The six medium test, the mark construction page, working files in their native formats, and a three hour session for the team who will use them daily.
What is handed over, included in all three packages
Three identities, written by their media
Talas, a traditional cake shop
The mark had to fit a four centimetre rubber stamp for cake boxes and still read on a two and a half metre sign. The two media that most often kill a good mark.
A diamond with a single bar, with no detail under one millimetre at stamp size. Used across nine branches with no special version.
Nusa Angkut, logistics
Most of the usage is on the side of a moving truck, seen from twenty metres, in two seconds.
A single weight mark with no thin strokes, and a minimum size rule for vehicles. Drivers fit it themselves using our template.
Ruang Tenang, a psychology clinic
It could feel neither like a hospital nor like a cafe. A slightly wrong tone stops a patient from coming at all.
One warm colour, type that does not shout, and a guide that forbids exclamation marks. First visits rose according to the clinic's own records.
Three steps, six media
The idea
Two weeks reading your brand and its market, then one sentence that every shape decision answers to. If that sentence cannot be written, it is not time to draw.
The six medium test
Every candidate mark is tested on a poster, a phone screen, packaging, a sign, a web page, and a rubber stamp. Anything that fails one does not continue, however good it looks on screen.
Guide and handover
Forty pages of guide, working files, and a three hour session for the team who use it daily. We answer questions free for six months after.
Four people on staff
Kavva
Founder, design direction
Eleven years in identity, and the one who writes each project's founding sentence.
Ranu
Design and type
Draws the marks and adjusts the type, down to stamp size.
Ines
Application
Packaging, signage, and templates a client's own team must be able to fill.
Bagas
Guide and handover
Writes the guide and runs the three hour session that closes every project.
They rejected our favourite mark because it failed at four centimetres. A year later we understood why that was right.Owner of Talas, nine branches
Asked often enough to answer here
Why two directions, not ten?
Because ten directions turn the decision into the mood of the day. Two genuinely different ones force the conversation back to the founding sentence we agreed at the start.
What does it cost?
A core identity starts at seventy five million rupiah, with application priced per medium. The exact figure follows the first meeting and does not change unless the scope does.
Do we own the files?
All of them, in their native formats, on final payment. That includes the type files we adjusted for your brand.
What if we already have a logo?
Often what is needed is not a new logo but a clear guide and tidy application. The identity review exists for that, and four times we have recommended it instead of selling a full project.
Do you build websites?
We design them, but the build is done by partners we recommend and you pay directly.
