One ticket, start to finish
This is Dimas's ticket; he rents a room on Gang Kober. Every stage of his laundry is stamped with the time, the same stamps you read when you check a ticket of your own.
Weighed in front of Dimas: 4.2 kilos. The bag gets a label with the ticket number straight away, so it never mixes with anyone else's.
Machine number three, for Dimas's laundry alone. Whites and colours apart, detergent without bleach, rinsed twice.
Forty minutes in the dryer on medium, then aired on the rack so nothing smells musty.
Nining irons with steam. Shirts go on hangers, t-shirts and trousers are folded to the size of a wardrobe shelf.
Wrapped in plastic with the ticket stapled to the front. We message Dimas on WhatsApp, or deliver it if he asks.

Three kilos minimum. Bedcovers, shoes, suits and kebaya are priced per piece. Work it out before you order: the numbers match what your ticket will say.
Free from five kilos in Pondok Cina, Kemiri Muka, Kukusan and Beji. Our courier brings the scales, so your ticket is written at your door.
Pickup times
Weighed in front of you. The number on the scales, on the ticket and on your bill is always the same.
One machine per customer. Your laundry is never washed with anyone else's.
Late past the time on your ticket, and we take half off that ticket's washing.
If we lose or damage anything, we pay back up to ten times what it cost to wash.
Three years of washing here. What I like most is checking on WhatsApp without stopping by: send the ticket number and they reply with a photo of the last stamp.
The sheets and towels from my fourteen rooms are washed here every Monday. Nothing has ever been mixed up; every room has its own label.
